Invitations to all local Government Councils around Australia were sent during November of last year.

Some of the ways you may be able to help with the Paint4Freedom Art Competition are-

  • Speak with your local Government Council - will they be hosting a Local Community Paint4Freedom Competition, Exhibition and Judging? We are asking local Government Councils around Australia to join in so that their Amateur and Budding (15-17yrs) Amateur Artists can progress through the following levels and ideally finish on the National stage of the Paint4Freedom Art Competition.

  • Each Secondary / High School is able to hold their own Senior's Paint4Freedom Art Competition - Further details
    • Speak with your local Secondary / High Schools - will they be hosting a Seniors School Paint4Freedom Art Competition with winners and runners-up then qualifying for the Local Community Paint4Freedom Art Competition, Exhibition and Judging? Can the Secondary / High School hold a 2019 Seniors School Paint4Freedom Art Competition?
    • Speak with the Secondary / High School's P&C's - Are they somehow working towards helping to promote or encourage a Local Community Paint4Freedom Art Competition?

We feel this can also be a great opportunity to broach the subject of Interact to subtly encourage the school to find out about the possibility of some of their community minded students starting in in-school Interact Club.

  • Contact your other local Rotary clubs - Can they assist or partner with your club in speaking to or assisting your local Government Council in hosting a Local Community Paint4Freedom Art Competition, Exhibition and Judging and also encouraging your local community to be involved?

    • Rotary are focused on this fight against Modern-day Slavery - Further details
    • Join the Rotary Action Group Against Slavery (RAGAS) - Further details
  • Speak with your local Art Galleries and/or Art Societies - Are they involved in any way? If your local Government Council isn't hosting a Local Community Paint4Freedom Competition or a local Slavery Seminar Presentation, can your Art Galleries and/or Art Society help your Rotary club to host a competition?

  • Is your local media involved and do they need any information - Paint4Freedom can supply the media with much of what they may need.

These organisations can all assist in hosting your Local Community Paint4Freedom Art Competition.

We have this type of relationship in the competitions we are hosting. If your club would like to better understand how you can join this battle against Modern-day Slavery, please contact Doug Malcolm at or call on mobile: 0421 450 959
